After 8 weeks of box office success in Venezuela, Elipsis receivedthe awards for Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography at the Morelia Film Festival and the award for Best Editing at the Film Municipal Awards.The film eclipsed American releases such as Munich and Crash at the box office. Last January, Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli spent a day in the studio with Grammy-winning singer Michael Bublé, conducting an arrangement by multi-faceted composer-producer Jon Brion. The song, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," was recorded at Capitol Records studios in a "live take" with Bublé on vocals, an all-star rhythm section, and some of L.A.'s finest orchestral musicians. The album Christmas was released on October 24th, 2011. |
