Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli's concert piece Tesserae has received a performance by The Castle Rock Orchestra of Colorado as part of a concert series featuring music inspired by aspects of the Mediterranean. The work's title is a reference to the small stone cubes used in antique times to create vast mosaics such as "The Battle of Issus" found at the National Museum of Naples, Italy, where the composer made a visit in 2001.
