Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli has completed another year as part of the music preparation team at the Walt Disney Music Library under the direction of Booker White. Feature films in 2008 included Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Body of Lies, Get Smart, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Speed Racer, and High School Musical 3. Other projects included the television series Fringe, Desperate Housewives, and Lost, as well as the video game Call of Duty 5. |

Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli spent two days in the studio with composer and producer Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Kanye West, I Heart Huckabees) assisting with orchestrations and arrangements for Dido's newly-released album Safe Trip Home. Utilizing unique orchestral instruments like euphoniums, Wagner tubas, and bass flutes, the tracks were recorded at London's Abbey Road studios. Anderson-Bazzoli contributed to the tracks "Never Want to Say It's Love," "It Comes and It Goes," and "Look No Further."

Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli recently composed the score for Angel Wars: The Messengers, an animated DVD series released in Spring 2009 by 20th Century Fox Faith. The score was produced and performed by the composer at Posthorn Music Studios. The music combines a classical symphonic approach with contemporary beat elements. |

Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli recently graduated from Music for People's Musicianship and Leadership Program, a four-year training in Group Music Leading and Facilitation based in Connecticut. To put these skills to use, he recently formed the True Freshman Ensemble (TFE), a music improvisation group open to professional musicians as well as the "musically inexperienced" that meets several times per year in Hollywood. The Soundtrack for the film Elipsis is now available for download on iTunes, Amazon, Napster and Rhapsody.com. VOL. 1 features songs from Seu Jorge, Masseratti 2lts, Popvert and Spam Allstars. VOL. 2 features the original score by Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli, performed by the composer as well as soprano Renee Sousa, flautists Valarie King and Jim Cowger, and the Prague Orchestra conducted by Adam Klemens. The film enjoyed theatrical and video distribution in Latin America through 20th Century Fox, but is awaiting any kind of U.S. release. Stay tuned.

Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli's concert piece Tesserae has received a performance by The Castle Rock Orchestra of Colorado as part of a concert series featuring music inspired by aspects of the Mediterranean. The work's title is a reference to the small stone cubes used in antique times to create vast mosaics such as "The Battle of Issus" found at the National Museum of Naples, Italy, where the composer made a visit in 2001. Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli composed and produced the score for the feature film "Burwa Dii Ebo" (English title: The Wind and The Water), directed by Vero Bollow and the Igar Yala Collective. The film was featured in the World Cinema Competition at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, and was an official selection at the 2009 Havana International Film Festival in Cuba. The first narrative feature to come out of Panama, the film tells the story of two teenage members of the indigenous Kuna tribe and their struggle with traditional and cosmopolitan identities. The score features much of Anderson-Bazzoli's own acoustic and electric guitar performances as well as performances by Native-flautist Martin Espino. Stay tuned for further festival screenings and distribution.

Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli recently returned from the New York State University at Fredonia where he was a Mentor and Leader at The Art of Improvisation, a workshop presented by Music for People and cellist/composer David Darling. During the week-long event, Anderson-Bazzoli led music improvisation pieces in large and small groups and taught an elective on film scoring. This event marked the completion of his third year in the Musicianship and Leadership Program of Music for People, an East Coast music improvisation ensemble dedicated to the idea that there are no "unmusical" people, only those with no musical experience.

Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli's ambient sound design was featured as part of the Guggenheim Museum's Works and Process series in a presentation by artist and photographer David Michalek. The work Slow Dancing features dancer Wendy Whelan of NYC Ballet among many others filmed in high-speed and high definition, resulting in hyper-slow-motion portraits that allow glimpses of the dancers' movement in unprecedented detail. "Slow Dancing" will be featured as part of the Lincoln Center Festival in the summer of 2007.
